Eek! A ghost!

Here a few tip's and ideas for hunting on your own!

  1. Know the area first! Never go anywhere without making sure it is within the permission of the owner.
  2. Make sure you have a couple of flashlights and EXTRA batteries before hand! Nothing is worse than running out of supplies in the middle of research!
  3. Make sure when using a camera that the lens is clean and the film has not been tampered with or has suffered form heat damage!
  4. If you enter any area that you feel very uneasy about, LEAVE! There is Probably someone or something that does not want you there and probably for good reasons too!
  5. Be respectfull of the area and the spirits there! Allthough some hunters will tell you that they sometimes "provoke" a spirit for EVP's or such...I wouldnt recomend that at all.
  6. Take notes of EVERYTHING! If you feel cold or become sad or you see and hear something, take notes of it! These notes may and will help you later on when reviewing the evidence.
  7. Try and talk to the spirits there, introduce yourself and tell them why you are there and what your are going to do.
  8. Clean up your mess! If you ever want to have someone let you research their homes and such, make sure you tidy up! The best way to promote yourself is word of mouth. Make sure it is all good!
  9. Make files of your evidence, you never know when those things will come in handy!
  10. And last of all...BE CAREFULL! And have fun! All ghosthunters make mistakes, it's ok to laugh at yourself!
